Feelings Lesson 04 : Expressing Feelings

Lesson 04: You will learn how to express your feelings. Have fun studying with your teacher!

Step 1 (Step 1 )




When you want to you want to express your happiness you say: Iʼ’m happy!  (Iʼ’m
happy!)
When you are very happy you say: Iʼ’m so happy! (Iʼ’m so happy!) or Iʼ’m very happy! (Iʼ’m very happy!)
When you want to ask about how someone is feeling you say: How do you feel? (How do you feel?)



Teacher: How do you feel, _̲_̲_̲_̲_̲_̲_̲_̲_̲_̲?

Teacher: How do you feel, _̲_̲_̲_̲_̲_̲_̲_̲_̲_̲?

You: Iʼm happy, _̲_̲_̲_̲_̲_̲_̲_̲_̲_̲! You: Iʼm happy, _̲_̲_̲_̲_̲_̲_̲_̲_̲_̲!


You can also use other expressions such as Iʼ’m enjoying myself! (Iʼ’m enjoying myself!), Iʼ’m having fun! (Iʼ’m having fun!) or Iʼ’m having a good time! (Iʼ’m having a good time!) etc.




Your teacher will ask you “How do you feel?”. Reply with the new expressions
youʼ’ve learned.


1) Iʼ’m so _̲_̲_̲_̲_̲_̲_̲_̲_̲_̲! (Iʼ’m so happy!)

2) Iʼ’m _̲_̲_̲_̲_̲_̲_̲_̲_̲_̲! (Iʼ’m enjoying myself!)

3) Iʼ’m very _̲_̲_̲_̲_̲_̲_̲_̲_̲_̲! (Iʼ’m very  happy!)

4) Iʼ’m having _̲_̲_̲_̲_̲_̲_̲_̲_̲_̲! (Iʼ’m having  fun!)

5) Iʼ’m having a _̲_̲_̲_̲_̲_̲_̲_̲_̲_̲! (Iʼ’m having a good time!)

6) Iʼm really _̲_̲_̲_̲_̲_̲_̲_̲_̲_̲! (Iʼ’m really enjoying myself!)


Step 2 ( Step 2 )




Now letʼ’s learn some more ways of expressing positive feelings.


1) Iʼ’m laughing. (Iʼ’m laughing.)

2) Iʼ’m     interested in _̲_̲_̲_̲_̲_̲_̲_̲_̲_̲. (Iʼ’m interested in _̲_̲_̲_̲_̲_̲_̲_̲_̲_̲.)

3) Iʼ’m amazed at _̲_̲_̲_̲_̲_̲_̲_̲_̲_̲! (Iʼ’m amazed at   _̲_̲_̲_̲_̲_̲_̲_̲_̲_̲!)

4) Iʼm surprised at _̲_̲_̲_̲_̲_̲_̲_̲_̲_̲! (Iʼ’m surprised at _̲_̲_̲_̲_̲_̲_̲_̲_̲_̲!)

5) Iʼ’m satisfied with _̲_̲_̲_̲_̲_̲_̲_̲_̲_̲. (Iʼ’m satisfied with _̲_̲_̲_̲_̲_̲_̲_̲_̲_̲.) 6) Iʼ’m curious about _̲_̲_̲_̲_̲_̲_̲_̲_̲_̲. (Iʼ’m curious about _̲_̲_̲_̲_̲_̲_̲_̲_̲_̲.) 7) I like _̲_̲_̲_̲_̲_̲_̲_̲_̲_̲. (I like    _̲_̲_̲_̲_̲_̲_̲_̲_̲_̲.)

You can also use like (like), love (love) for things, not only people.



Step 3 ( Step 3 )





When you want to you want to express your sadness you say: Iʼ’m sad. (Iʼ’m sad.)
When you are very sad you say: Iʼ’m so sad. (Iʼ’m so sad.) or Iʼ’m very sad. (Iʼ’m very sad.)

Teacher: How do you feel, _̲_̲_̲_̲_̲_̲_̲_̲_̲_̲?

Teacher: How do you feel, _̲_̲_̲_̲_̲_̲_̲_̲_̲_̲?

You: Iʼ’m sad, _̲_̲_̲_̲_̲_̲_̲_̲_̲_̲. You: Iʼ’m sad, _̲_̲_̲_̲_̲_̲_̲_̲_̲_̲.


You can also use other expressions such as Iʼ’m depressed. (Iʼ’m depressed.), Iʼ’m disappointed. (Iʼ’m disappointed.), Iʼ’m feeling blue. (Iʼ’m feeling blue.) etc.


Your teacher will ask you “How do you feel?”. Reply with the new expressions youʼ’ve learned.


1)   Iʼ’m depressed. (Iʼ’m depressed.)

2)   Iʼ’m disappointed. (Iʼ’m disappointed.)

Now letʼ’s learn some more ways of expressing negative feelings.


1)   Iʼ’m frustrated. (Iʼ’m frustrated.)

2)   Iʼ’m tired. (Iʼ’m tired.)

3) Iʼ’m angry at _̲_̲_̲_̲_̲_̲_̲_̲_̲_̲! (Iʼ’m angry at _̲_̲_̲_̲_̲_̲_̲_̲_̲_̲!)

4)   Iʼ’m sleepy. (Iʼ’m sleepy.)

5)   Iʼ’m bored. (Iʼ’m bored.)

6) Iʼ’m worried about _̲_̲_̲_̲_̲_̲_̲_̲_̲_̲. (Iʼ’m worried about _̲_̲_̲_̲_̲_̲_̲_̲_̲_̲.)

7) Iʼ’m afraid of _̲_̲_̲_̲_̲_̲_̲_̲_̲_̲. (Iʼ’m afraid of _̲_̲_̲_̲_̲_̲_̲_̲_̲_̲.)

8) Iʼ’m shy. (Iʼ’m shy.)

9) I dislike _̲_̲_̲_̲_̲_̲_̲_̲_̲_̲. (I dislike   _̲_̲_̲_̲_̲_̲_̲_̲_̲_̲.)

Have a conversation with your teacher using the words and expressions that   you
have learned in this lesson. Try to say how you felt when something happened in your daily life.
